Randomness-ness!

1) My Favorite book series is the twilight series by Stephanie Meyer. My favorite out of the three would have to be twilight. It is what started me in loving the series so much and the book that I find myself relating to the most! For anyone who hasn’t read these books I highly recommend it, they are truly spectacular books. The story lines sounds kind of odd because it is basically a love story about a girl who falls in love with a vampire... but don’t let that stop you from reading them! it is not your typical vampire book... my mom hates books like that like the whole thing... no romance or vampires for her!, and I finally convinced her to read them... and she loved them! mind you she is not crazy like I am knowing when the next book is coming out and what it is called and things of that sort (did I mention that I have read twilight alone 6 times?!?) but she did love them and actually got her book group to add it to their list! And for those of you that HAVE read the wonderful series... I am an Edward fan fully! I still love Bella... even though she struggles GREATLY! I think that Jacob is great but not even CLOSE to Edward! I DARE you to try and change my mind... its not possible!

2) Rascal Flatts is my favorite band ever! I did not really know who they were until last year around Christmas time, I went to the store with my newly acquired friends, x and I think Curtis (I don’t remember what guy it was... maybe wheels) anywho x said that she wanted the new rascal Flatts CD, and me- unprepared as ever not knowing what to get for her quickly went and bought it while she wasn’t looking! I listened to it with her and it was love at first sound! From that time I listened to them all the time! Then the most exciting thing ever happened they came to Salt Lake City! I was really excited and wanting to get tickets but they were sold out after a few days... I then turned to listening to the radio on the off chance that I would win... the days went by and 2 days before the concert I tried one last time to win... I called in around 7:20 in the morning... and I WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don’t think I have ever screamed so loud in my entire life!!! I immediately called x and sat and screamed with her on the phone! It was awesome! We went to the concert and it was FABULUS! Ahh... got to love them!

3) I work at Sweetly Divine... it's a pastry shop that is as the name says... sweetly divine! It is an awesome job I get to take as many muffins as I want home with me after work; I get half price on all of the pasties which are mouth watering just to look at! We have éclairs, and marzipan, and cakes and tarts and crème Brule, and so so much more! One of the funniest ones to say is the minter... it’s a white chocolate mint moose on a chocolate sponge cake dipped in chocolate! mmm its good! And it works with my school schedule... which is amazing! There are only two things that I don’t like about it... I work on the weekends... which means that I cant go home Friday and Saturday to see my family or play with my friends :( and I am alone so when I have to walk out to my car at night its creepy and scary! But other than those two things it’s a pretty "sweet" job!

4) I love to dance! i am in a group called Rinceoiri don Spraoi. We are and irish step dancing group...and for those who don’t know that means Riverdance... anywho I have been doing it for 8 years now! And I am in the performing group which means that I get to go all over the place and perform for people old and young, in nursing homes, party’s, festivals, wards, you name it and we do it! We were in the Special Olympics in 2001 and we dance and the festival of the trees every year... which is one of my favorite preformances! I am a teacher, (or at least I was till I went to college, but I will be again when I go back) and I miss it dearly! I have so many friends and so many stories that go along with dance I can’t even begin to name them all! If anyone is interested go to http://www.irishdanceutah.com/ and that will point you in the right direction! We dance on Saturdays so it’s nice because it doesn’t conflict with jobs or school! Anywho dance is one of the biggest and best parts of my life! I started it with Elizabeth, one of my oldest and dearest friends and after she moved to South Dakota I stayed on and here I am today! my mom was the president of the group for 2 years so I even know all the politics that were involved (not fun I might add at times) but none the less it is still amazing and I wouldn’t give it up for the world! You can ask my friends I guard my dance shoes with my life! I couldn’t bear to leave them at home! I had to have them with me! They have been to Ireland, Scotland, and Holland. Lol they go everywhere with me just so on the off chance I can use them I can!

5) I have had the best luck of anyone you will ever meet when it comes to traveling! When my grandma went on her mission to Ireland she paid for me to be able to go and pick her up! We had a scare when she had some medical problems and had to come home... but that only meant that she got to go back with me and tell me all about it! It was so amazing! I kissed the blarney stone, I bought my hard shoes for dance there (just one more reason I am so attached!) and stood on the cliffs of Mohre (i.e. the cliffs of insanity from the princess bride) it was awesome... then to add to it we went to Scotland which was BREATHTAKING! It is so amazing there! We saw real bag pipers and I even got a kilt of my own! Then several years latter my cousins who live in Holland called my family and invited me and my younger brother to come and spend a month with them in Holland! That changed my life in so many ways and it was amazing on top of it! I can’t even begin to say how much I love Holland. How amazing and beautiful, how diverse and wonderful. I will NEVER forget that experience. And I am
determined to go back again. It is too much apart of me to not want it. For anyone who has the option of going take it! You will never regret it. It is the chance of a lifetime! And on top of that I was able to spend a weekend in Paris! Yes the city of lights! And that was also spectacular! I took French in high school so going and getting to see the things and hear the language first hand... indescribable! Not to mention that I got to go to the Effile tower! How many of your friends can say they did that over the summer!

6) Probably one of the biggest things that has to do with my life, the thing that has impacted it the most and blessed me in more ways than I can even count is being a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints! All my life I have been raised to be a member, and I can’t even begin to say how grateful I am for that! My grandfather passed away just as the school year started for me here at Utah State... it crushed me... as much as Poppi drove me crazy at times I loved him so much! He was always at my house, always at Christmas and birthdays... it’s not going to be the same without him this year. It’s going to be really hard. But the thing that got me though it knew that I will see him again. That is the joy of the gospel. Knowing that the plan of salvation is true and that I will get to see my Poppi again and see him at his fullest and his best! That is only one way that the gospel has touched my life. There are so many ways that I don’t think I could even begin to name them! This Sunday I am going to get my Young woman’s medallion. So I have thought allot about the young woman’s theme this week. I believe that I am a daughter of my heavenly father who loves me and I love him. I will stand as a witness to God at all times and in all things and in all places as I strive to live the young woman’s values; faith, divine nature, individual worth, knowledge, choice and accountability, good works, and integrity. I believe as I come to accept and act upon these values, I will be prepared to strengthen home and family, make and keep sacred covenants, receive ordinances of the temple, and enjoy the blessings of exaltation. I love this gospel with all my heart and I bear testimony that it is true, and that by living those values my life has been improved and blessed.
